Do you want to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight naturally? I'm sure that a majority of the readers of this article say "YES!!!" to that question with no hesitation. Below is information on a plan that I recommend to my patients consistently. Review it, apply it, and see CHANGE. Featured this month is Dr. Bob's Weight Loss and Energy Formula. This supplement is natural and perfectly designed to help you achieve your goals.
The Page Fundamental Diet Plan
This diet plan is designed to assist your body in its ability to create and maintain "balanced body chemistry." Dr. Melvin Page's Phase 1 and Phase 2 diet is not only extremely helpful, but in many cases essential to control blood sugar imbalances as well as all other types of imbalanced body chemistry. At the famous Page Clinic, blood chemistry panels were done every three to four days on all patients. Dr. Page based his diet plan on the research of Drs. Price and Pottenger, who showed the relationship of diet to health, both physical and emotional. The diet plan was proven true when blood chemistry panels of thousands of his patients normalized without other intervention. Many of today's popular diets are based on Dr. Page's work. Dr. Page emphasized removing refined carbohydrates (such as sugar and processed flour) and cow's milk from the diet. On the food list sheet attached, notice the percentage of carbohydrates is indicated. Dr. Page felt that it was not only important to eat quality proteins and fats, but quality carbohydrates as well.
The longer you are on this diet and the more closely you follow it, the easier it will be to stick to it. This will result in your feeling and looking so much better than you did on your old way of eating. As you become healthier, your cravings for those foods which are not the best choices for you will actually diminish. Old habits are hard to break, though, so take your time in changing your diet habits so you won't slip back into your old way of eating. However, if this happens, let us know as soon as possible so we can assist you in determining what is upsetting your body chemistry. Nutritional supplements may be needed to assist you to get back on track by reducing cravings, etc.

Very helpful article. In the Liquids section, one GALLON of water, minimum, seems like an awful lot.

You may have a low thyroid, not enough Vitamin D, and not enough gooe EFA, like flax oil and or salmon oil. Watch some of my videos......the one on female hormones, iodine...get my Hormone and Sex book, they will answer a lot of your questions....you may need a consultation. DrB

Do you see any value in fasting for weight loss or general health?

I normally do not suggest fasting. Most people do not have enough protein or proper carb metabolism, their body will start cannibalizing its own muscle. A veggie fast would be good, not starches. DrB

Hello Dr. Bob,I'm 36 years old and after having 4 children and gaining aprox. 40 pounds over the last 13 years I began to feel run down sluggish, scatter brained and even started getting aches and pains in my joints (particularly the heel of my foot). Tired of feeling this way I sought to do something about my health so I recently started in a supplement called ViSalus which seems to be helping. I have also begun to eat better, making healthier choices and have taken out cheese & white flour. Also my sugar intake in a drastic way. I have lost some weight and feel better than I have in years. It is a supposed natural product and nutritional supplement. My concern is that it is milk and soy based and they claim that because it contains non- GMO soy that it will not effect the hormones. If you are at all familiar with this product I would really appreciate your input. Thank you. Yolie

Hello ... Won't drinking more than about 8 - 8 ozs., and especially a gallon, of water a day cause the body to lose electrolites? I drink lots of water but sometimes am concerned about overdoing it. Can we overdo it?!
Thanks for your response

I disagree with grains. I just simply need the energy. I am about 125 pounds and run many miles. If I have no grains or starch at all, I will probably lose weight, and for me, that would be very very bad. I agree that refined grains or anything sugary should be avoided.
