I thought I would change the pace here a bit and drop a few nuggets on weight loss. I just read a stat that the average American is 23 pounds over weight. I have been writing about depression recently, I have a sugar sensitivity questionnaire on the WHKW link. I would suggest you take it. People who are depressed often can have a sugar craving, people who crave sweets are challenged with the roller-coaster of the ups and downs of weight on/weight off; your smiling/frowning right now aren’t you? I know I have many who come into the office with BIG smiles ANNOUNCING, “Dr. Bob I have not worn these blue jeans in years”, and others with the look of despair.

I know that many of you reading this were very fascinated by the article I posted on Thursday about the Farm raised Fish, we had a lot of hits on the Blog that day. I would be careful when you eat any type of fish that you do not know where it came from. I have read that farm raised fish usually does not have much of the Omega 3 fat that you would find in wild fish. I also would think about the type of fish you eat, like I have read that bottom feeders tend to be a bit more toxic; sole and/or flounder would be an example. I am sure you know that shrimp and lobster for sure are bottom feeders and can be a challenge.

You know I will be having our workshop on Depression, ADHD, Anxiety and Alzheimer’s on Saturday. I am not sure if you had a panic attack before? I had one person recently who was in our office have one while we were going over recommendations for care. I was not surprised at this, knowing all the health issues this individual was contending with. First there was a straight curve in the neck, a history of pain in the neck, poor sleep and the mention of “lack of purpose”. How many of you feel as though you're lacking purpose? This is a sign.

It is amazing how much information there is out there on the topics I will be discussing on Saturday. A lot of writers and researchers must read the same information from other people and repeat it. Let me tell you what you must remember; your body is like a machine – you need to have minerals for the battery, oil for the engine and clean the oil filter.
