Foods that Minimize Pain

I have daily conversations with patients who need to make dietary choices. As with anything in life, there are consequences with your choices. What are you choosing to eat? Foods that produce pain? One of the leading causes of pain is poor fat metabolism. I would advise everyone reading this to be aware of the fat and oils you put in your body. I suggest eating:

Avocados
– Walnuts
Greens
– Sesame seeds and almonds
– Deep-ocean salmon
– Sea Vegetables (kelp)
Flax and olive oil

These foods will minimize pain, because they promote pain relieving omega-3 fats. Snack food fats like safflower and sunflower oils, even though they are not “bad” oils, can create pain in your body.
