-Hi Dr. Bob–I have a question. I saw an iodine supplement online called “Iodine Science” which Dr. Andrew Weil recommends and it says that you can supplement with Iodine Science even if you are on thyroid meds. Do you know anything about this product and would you recommend taking additional iodine when you’re on a thyroid med already? I have always valued your opinions on med issues. I talked to you many years ago when I came into your office to buy a supplement.

I do not know that product personally, but if you are considering iodine, the first two things I would do include having a TSH, T3, T4 exam. If your T4 is on the lower end of normal, you might need iodine. I would also consider a urine-iodine loading test as well before taking iodine.

-Hi, I have diabetes and I also have a smelly feet and blemish on my left side and right, too, but more on the left side. Left side of back pain.i am in trouble please help me what kind of cleansing do I need to do? And my two big toes are changed colors.

I would work on helping your blood sugar as step one. I would REMOVE all sugar, grains, and fruit and focus on eating green vegetables and moving (exercising) to help burn the extra glucose. You need to find a health coach to help you through this process.

-My daughter who is 16 complains about leg pain from her butt down to feet has pain during her menstruation and it seems going away when her period is over, now she is complaining of her leg hurts again, I wonder if there is any missing nutrition? She is trying out to be a vegetarian for a year and it has been 10 months. Please help us!!!!!

Your daughter might have a fatty liver, which we see more in young female practice members today. I would recommend a digital X-ray with a front view of the pelvis region to check the size of her liver and then supplement accordingly.

-Could you please say something about what these bisphenol drugs really ARE? Is it true they are in DETERGENT? Eeeek!

More info in video:

-What does this class of drugs really do to our bodies, as it stifles our osteoblasts and makes brittle bones? It retains the old, porous bone – but is that all?For those already with such drug-affected bones – how can they regain bone flexibility and proper remineralization?

More info in video: No sugar, or phosphoric acid. Celtic Sea Salt and bouncing on a ball can help.

-I’m a male in my mid twenties and recently noticed several cherry hemangiomas appearing on my chest and shoulders. This was likely caused by my consuming far too much bread and sugar, which I have recently cut out of my diet completely. Thankfully no more noticeable hemangiomas have appeared recently, though when I look very closely at my upper arms and shoulders there seems to be lots of very tiny red dots. I saw an interview where you mentioned you used to get hemangiomas. It would be great to get your advice on any further tips to reduce these completely.

There’s a good chance your liver is compromised. Your body needs B vitamins and possibly milk thistle. I would also eat Dr. Bob’s ABC’s each day (½ red apple, ⅓ cup beet fiber, 1 medium carrot) and stop drinking alcohol.

-Are there any supplements i can take to get rid of tinnitus?

From my experience, ear ringing can be subpar thyroid function. I would incorporate AE-Mulsion, check your thyroid, and visit a chiropractor to help with spine misalignment.
