The skeletal or bone system of the body is held together by muscles. Muscles are connected to bone by tendons. When muscles contract they create motion as they support the body in the day-to-day function of life. Muscles require a supply of protein for restoration and growth.

The large muscle located in the buttocks.
A group of muscles located in front of the thighs.
A group of muscles located on the back of the thigh.
The large muscle located in the lower leg; can be felt to make up the “calf muscle.”
