The reproductive system includes the obvious tissues involved with continuation of the species; ovaries which supply the egg and testes which create the semen and sperm for fertilization. The uterus in females is the location of fetus development. There are several glands often overlooked as factors for reproduction which would include the thyroid — subpar function often prevents conception and full-term development.
