Arthritis is joint inflammation, commonly seen, in my experience, in those who have liver congestion or compromise. The liver is supposed to process unwanted and unnecessary toxins that come from overeating processed foods including sugar and dairy.
Minimize processed foods and be mindful of medications that list “liver congestion and/or disease” as a side effect. I typically see an improvement in joint pain by minimizing the nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and green peppers). Nightshades tend to create distress in the joints of those who have liver distress. If you experience joint pain, reduce citrus and gluten-sourced foods. Patients who consistently eat oranges, grapefruit, and other citrus products often have problems. Drink water from a pure source and limit or avoid sugar and dairy.
