Liver Disease

Located in the right abdominal quadrant below the ribs, the liver is the major detoxifying organ in the body. The liver enlarges and liver function is compromised when external toxins assault the body. If you start eliminating toxic substances, the liver can regulate itself and return to normal size. Consuming fat and sugar makes the liver fatty. Because the liver clears medications, these are also common causes of liver distress and disease. Signals of liver trouble include hemorrhoids, varicose veins, abdominal distention, and small red bumps on the skin called cherry hemangiomas.

I take a liver-cleansing product daily. I use five drops of dandelion root leaf and five drops of peppermint leaf. I also eat one-half of a red apple, at least one-third cup of beets, and one organic medium carrot per day. Your skin health is a direct reflection of your liver health.
