Bonus: When you play golf, should you walk or use a golf cart?
When you walk on a fairway, especially early in the morning with the dew, there is an increase in herbicides, you are breathing in the vapors.
1. I am a 56 year old female suffering from kidney stones. I need your advice as to how to get rid of them, and what to take for the pain? Thank you.
We encourage water consumption, and avoid ALL soda. It is best to have 10:4 ratio of calcium to phosphorous.
2. I was wondering if you’ve seen “Forks Over Knives”, the movie, What do you think of it? Of whole-plant based? Of Esselstyn or Campbell’s research?
The movie is about a plant-based diet. Personally, I am not a vegetarian, but the meat I eat is all organic, grass-fed. Commonly, I find a ‘plant-eater’ to eat cookies and pastries, which is not ideal.
3. My hubby and I have a holistic doctor who is fab and we how have optimum vitamin D levels. We take a variety of quality vitamins and supplements including progesterone and T3 and iodine, still taking oroxine. However not been able to get on top on breast cysts and have recently been through menopause. Any tips?
Liver enzymes are essential, and I recommend a urine-iodine loading test as well.
4. Are the claims about coconut oil helping or even reversing Alzheimer’s. There has been mixed controversy about the pro’s and con’s of using coconut oil. mainly the high content of saturated fat which some research say it is a good fat and a good source of medium chain triglycerides. The concern I have in using coconut oil is the chance of high cholesterol, and again there has been mixed controversy about this as well.
I use coconut oil everyday. Plant oils will not raise your cholesterol. Cholesterol levels are raised by stress, sugar, and trans fat. I go into cholesterol more in my men’s health book.
5. Dr Bob, i have an 8 year old son who constantly gets canker sores in his mouth, wondering why this would be or how to treat it?
I would encourage to limit or eliminate gluten from your son’s diet. I also recommend a product called Agrisept-L and zinc and calcium.
