What do you recommend for a seventy-something man who is almost always cold all night and all day?We look forward to your response for all of us who deal with this.
The number one concern is probably subpar thyroid function. I would consider our thyroid panel, and then we treat the numbers accordingly.
What is up with the shake the head on the Girl Scout Cookies?
First, I do respect the Girl Scouts organization. However, the cookies they sell contain wheat and sugar, which can alter your health function.
I have adrenal problems and I used progesterone cream for years. Now I am 55 and I have been getting bio-identical hormones and taking progesterone by mouth from a doctor’s prescription. What do you think?
You may want to complete an Adrenal Stress Index Saliva Test, but you need to avoid all hormones to accurately test for progesterone levels. (More info in video)
Dr. Bob, would oranges cause cold sores?
Everyone responds differently to food groups. I personally do not promote oranges because they tend to create an alkaline state in the body which may interfere with calcium absorption. Your body needs calcium to prevent cold sores. (More info in video)
I am nearly always constipated and not sure what I can do to make a difference. I do not like taking laxatives.
The leading cause(s) of constipation, from my experience, includes not drinking enough water and eating enough fiber, plus a subpar thyroid function.
