Dr Bob, Can the type of underwear a man wears could affect your prostate? I wear boxer briefs because they’re warmer in winter. A Dr told a friend of mine who has an enlarged prostate to wear regular cotton boxers. What is your opinion on this? Thanks for all you do!!
In my experience, i do not believe underwear impacts one’s prostate as much as estrogen-related conditions.
Dr Bob, I’m a letter carrier and I’m inside a HOT mail truck most of the day. What can I take for lunch and an afternoon snack that would be healthy, good, and not cause my stomach to get upset after eating when it’s so hot and I’m hot? I usually take 2 bottles of water too.
I would create a daily vegetable bag, which I call a SWAP bag. Go here to read what I put inside and snack throughout the day.
I notice you said not to use spring mix. Is that because it doesn’t hold up well when prepping ahead?
The spring mix does not seem to be “hearty.” I suggest spinach, romaine, or arugula.
What can you substitute for beets to get the same health benefits? I get kidney stones and can’t have beets!
Apples have been reported to lower cholesterol.
I’m unsure what I should do since I have hypothyroidism. Ideas?
My first suggest would be a TSH, T3, T4 profile. I would also suggest a urine-iodine loading test and to read my new “Guide to Prevent Surgery,” where I have a chapter specifically related to the thyroid.
