Dr Bob, I am a letter carrier and in summer months it’s hard to eat because of the heat and so humid. So I usually take in my lunch is, a banana and 2 boiled eggs which I eat during the morning. I usually take some grapes and a handful of nuts for a snack, like walnuts, pecans, sometimes mixed nuts. Is this ok?? Also in winter it’s so cold I can’t hardly eat when I get cold so I never know what to take during winter months any suggestions?
During the summer, I would suggest cucumbers and small tomatoes, while in the winter, I would eat root vegetables.
Hi Dr. Bob — I am taking Synthroid – 50mcg- Can I also take iodine?
I always recommend following the numbers (TSH, T3, and T4, and also a urine-iodine) and then treat accordingly.
What information or resources do you have for unmarried females 35, wanting to have children after marriage? No Mr. Right. The doctor says production of eggs is low for age 35. Thank you In advance.
If you want to remain fertile and stay pregnant, you need to have enough iodine and progesterone.
Hi! Would you mind telling me what I can use for Eczema, over-the-counter? Thank you!
We use blackcurrant seed oil with great success.
I recently had a PLAC test which showed I have high inflammation (I am 60yrs old and weigh 54.8kilos) but here in the UK none of the doctors (inc a cardiologist) I have spoken to know how to treat this and don’t offer the test for this reason, I was put on statins as the only treatment available but had to stop after 3 months due to leg pain.
Inflammation is often caused by eating too much sugar, stress, and of course, fruit. You can read my “Trans Fat Survival Guide” and/or have an Adrenal Stress Index. Beets will help lower your cholesterol naturally.
Please could you advice on anything that might help as I am really upset about the inflammation and feel pretty desperate about what to do?
The first thing I would do is to eliminate ALL SUGAR from your diet.
I don’t drink alcohol or smoke, however my father had a history of strokes, TIA’s and a heart attack – he was however a very heavy smoker. Also, Sorry I forget to ask why is yoghurt not good for the heart – I eat it every day!! Thank you.
Yogurt creates inflammation.
