Ask Dr. Bob July 26, 2013

These were the questions that were asked in this episode of #AskDrBob. Here is the link to the video. Thank you for sending us your general health questions. We hope they make a difference in your life.

Bonus: Vitamin D

Vitamin D helps calcium helps be pulled from the intestine and put into your blood. Vitamin F takes it from the blood to your skin. Watch the fats that you eat, because the calcium cannot get from the blood to the skin, with the wrong fats (trans, hydrogenated).

1. Your previous book recommended whole food supplements. I have always used whole food vitamins through a local chiropractor and was wondering how you feel about whole food vs. synthetic vitamins?

Some secrets: Make sure there’s no food coloring. Cellulose is wood, silica is sand.

2. My question is about my 50 year son who takes very good care of himself and is on aspirin daily. He recently learned that he has an ulcer and H-pYlori. He is on antibiotics and I would like to know what other supplements would be good for him to help him.

STOP TAKING ASPIRIN. Aspirin tricks your body (PG2).

3. Thank you Dr. Bob for your piece on vitamin D. I was taking a capsule every day and thought the bottle said 1,000 but my eyes deceived me and the bottle actually was 10,000. per capsule. The D level was very high. Is this toxic or detrimental to my system? I noticed my scalp was very itchy and my ankles were very tender. I now take one capsule of 10,000 per week to level out. I occasionally took a capsule of calcium/magnesium with the D. It seems I wasn’t getting the benefits. Any comment!

4. I was wondering if this information applies to a low heart rate (bradycardia). I can’t seem to find any information on natural cures for arrhythmias.

We use vitamin B (thiamin), which will help. Limit ‘wheat’ for arrhythmia.

5. I am getting nauseated since eating healthy what is up?

Your body’s pH is probably acid. Stir fry your vegetables to begin.

6. What would cause a woman to get her period every 2 weeks?

Most likely too much estrogen, and not enough vitamin B.
