-Do you have any recommendations for SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)?
Some of the first things I would consider would be how many antibiotics you have used over time, and whether or not you have a cat or eat sushi regularly. I would consider a Chem Profile (available by contacting us), and also supplementing with L-Glutamine. Lastly, you might also consider a stool culture test to find out what organisms are proliferating.
-What is your opinion on algae (kelp) as a natural iodine provider?
An organic source is best since kelp in the ocean is absorbing all the toxins found in the water.
-I eat a pretty clean diet, but in the last 6 months whenever I consume sea salt, fish, and shellfish, I instantly get blotchy hands like I’m allergic and I eventually get eczema on my right wrist. I also have to be careful with spices. Black pepper sets my hands off instantly. But even healthy spices, such as cinnamon, turmeric, cumin etc. causes my body to react. I also noticed this with lavender shampoo, and healthy herbs like ginger! I did a liver cleanse about two months ago, do you think this is more related to a leaky gut?
Your body might have a molybdenum deficiency. For that I recommend Mo-Zyme and to also read the book, “The Ultimate Healing System” which looks at food allergies further.
-How should we be viewing the plethora of names of mental illness disorders, particularly under “severely mentally ill”…it seems so clear the drugs for this create more of the illness and horrible side effects. I have really been studying this issue for many years and want to help my daughter.
I am beginning to see that most of these cases, including depression, are due to a subpar thyroid. There are a few things I would consider. First, a Bloodspot Fatty Acid Profile, to determine fats/oils your body needs, and to possibly add L-Tyrosine, and to study my book, “Dr. Bob’s Guide to Stop ADHD in 18 Days”.
-How do I increase the phosphorous in my diet? Are there any supplements or pills available for that? Your help is greatly appreciated.
I would begin with phosphorous capsules and not liquid. Do NOT drink alkaline water because it confuses your body. Also, I would take an oximeter test and if it is less than 95, please contact us.
-I have been told by my eye doctor that I have pressure in my eyes. I am not sure what to do to decrease the pressure. I am 38 years old and not overweight, and I do not smoke. I do not know how long this has been going on. I have noticed a film-like texture in my eye and they do feel very dry at times, almost like there’s sand in the eye. Please help with any suggestions.
I would suggest carbamide which will help with the extra fluid, and iodine, which would help with your dry eyes.
