<p><b>Dr. Bob’s Chicken Kale Soup </b></p>
<p><strong>Ingredients:</strong></p>
<p>8 Chicken thighs with skin and bone</p>
<p>6 Chicken legs with skin and bone</p>
<p>One large white onion</p>
<p>6 medium carrots that are to be sliced to 1/8<sup>th</sup> wide pieces</p>
<p>6 celery stocks which are to be sliced to 1/8<sup>th</sup> wide pieces</p>
<p>1 bunch of kale cut into one-inch pieces</p>
<p>Celtic Sea Salt™ ground up to one tablespoon</p>
<p>2 quarts pure water</p>
<p>1 Pint reserved chicken stock broth – this is chicken broth that has been saved in the freezer from past baking of chicken thighs (If you buy, make sure the stock has no MSG or sugar)</p>
<p>Large Pan or Dutch Oven</p>
<p><b>Directions: </b></p>
<p>Add chicken thighs and legs to the water with the onion. Bring water to a boil, and then simmer until the chicken is fork tender.</p>
<p>Add reserve chicken broth to the boiling pot</p>
<p>Cool the chicken and cut in small bite size pieces</p>
<p>Add the carrots and celery to the water and chicken pieces; simmer until the vegetables are fork tender</p>
<p>Remove onion, let it cool, cut into pieces and add to the mixture</p>
<p>Add salt to taste</p>
<p>Add kale to the other vegetables and continue to simmer for a few minutes.</p>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>1. Celtic Sea Salt looks like a teaspoon is 1920 mg, while you answer the iodoral question, tell us what you recommend as a daily dosage on the celtic sea salt as well.</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Traditionally I recommend a  ¼ teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt per day on a regular basis.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>2. You mention you take 25 mg of Iodoral, which is 2 of the 12.5 mg tablets from the 90 count bottle. What do you feel is safe to take as preventative for someone who was restricting salt?</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">At the present time, I use <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/iodizyme-hp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iodizyme-HP</a> (one tablet per day). Before you start iodine, I recommend a <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/tsh-t3-t4-simple-home-test/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">TSH T3 T4</a> examination to see how your iodine is working looking at T4. A <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/urine-iodine-loading-test-and-toxins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">urine iodine loading test</a> also helps to determine your iodine levels.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>3. I just received a THS of 17.47 and do not want to take drugs.</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">In our practice we use <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/gta/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GTA</a>, which is porcine thyroid tissue. Also <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/iodizyme-hp/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Iodizyme-HP</a> and <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/l-tyrosine/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">L-Tyrosine</a>.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>4. Can you give advice please about gum infection/disease with shooting pain?</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">If it’s an infection, talk to your dentist. I would avoid sugar. I also consume <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/agrisept-l-citric-seed-extract/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Agrisept-L</a>, which is a natural antibiotic of citrus seed extract only.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>5. What do you think about Amy’s foods, soups, etc?</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Make sure to read the ingredients. I do not promote <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/non-dr-bob-approved/soy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">soy</a>, canola or hydrogenated oil, <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/non-dr-bob-approved/sugar/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">sugar</a> (evaporated cane juice), <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/non-dr-bob-approved/dairy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dairy</a> (I know they have pizza), or <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/non-dr-bob-approved/gluten/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">gluten</a>.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p dir="ltr">Permanent weight loss appears to be one of the most elusive challenges impacting over sixty percent of the US population. I have been a participant in conversations with individuals who discuss how easy the pounds seem to go onto their bodies, and how difficult it is to have them go away (that would be a great Christmas present). Personally, I have had my own lifelong weight loss journey – it started when I was a junior in high school. I can recall purposely having to drop extra weight because of my toast before bed and “Big Barney” burger passion. I remember my pants literally falling down and hanging loosely in the spring of 1971. The faculty at the school I attended were concerned about my physical health. When I got married in 1978, I weighed 120 pounds, but I gradually increased in weight, going back to the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, I peeked out at over 190 pounds!</p>
<p dir="ltr">I know how easy it is to gain weight, but I see the biggest obstacle is the roller coaster of weight gain followed by weight loss, weight gain followed by weight loss, like a teeter totter. From my previous weight gain experiences, I had an inner circle which enjoyed eating and drinking beverages with high calories. Even though I made significant dietary changes since then, I had a “truth” moment in 2012-that even healthy food (with high calorie content) was causing me to gain weight.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/articles/stress/" target="_blank">Stress</a> and weight gain are “friends”. Whenever your stress levels increase, the amount of cortisol which is released by your adrenal glands also increases. The excessive sugar intake can result in self-inflicted cannibalized muscles, with loss of muscle tissue. This loss can also create an environment of more glucose hanging around and storing itself in your body as fat. Over time, with reduced muscle bulk, and an over indulgence in foods with high calories, it’s easy to see how someone can gain weight.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Other “friends” of weight gain include heavy metal toxicity from the environment, which causes your body to dilute toxins in fluid, or added water weight (your body will also store toxins in fat or cellulite). Leptin is the hormone that broadcasts to the rest of your cells that you are “full”. Ghrelin, on the other hand, promotes hunger. High fructose corn syrup (a weight loss assassin), reduces leptin and increases ghrelin. It would be in your best interest to reduce your HFCS exposure, which is commonly used as a sweetener in many packaged foods.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The list of weight factors could be limitless and often, tiring. I want you to focus on the amount and type of calories you are choosing- reduce your high caloric intake foods. Exercise, or any type of movement, is a secret weapon for long-term success with your weight loss plan. Weigh yourself often, daily would be an excellent strategy.  Your strategy should also include a SWAP bag (Start With A Protein). One of the most common procedures that is inflicted on the uninformed public is ablation. Ablation is a procedure that has initially been incorporated for altering heart rhythms and then for the reduction of heavy flow created by excessive menses. Heavy menses is a body signal of estrogen overload which is literally jamming up the function of the liver. I was prompted to write about ablation and heavy menses because I just finished having a consultation with a distraught female who did not know that the heavy menses could have been helped with drugless principles.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Estrogen is being mass produced and utilized for a variety of common household products including plastics, chemicals for cleaning, birth control, leather upholstery, yard treatments and food products that are not organic; dairy and animal products. Estrogen toxicity can be managed by choosing foods that promote optimal liver function; starting with <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/articles/abcs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dr. Bob’s ABC’s</a> which a step in the right direction. One-half of a red apple, one-third cup of beet fiber, and one medium carrot promote liver activity.</p>
<p dir="ltr">It has been estimated only 14% of the population consume the recommended five to seven servings of fruits and vegetables on a regular basis. We are being exposed to an unprecedented amount of estrogen so it is so very important if you do not want to be told you have breast cancer, to eat more sulfur-based vegetables including broccoli, cauliflower and cabbage. Eating other sulfur-based foods like eggs, onions and garlic would assist your body in clearing the excessive estrogen levels. One of the best decisions you could make if you want to get really serious about preventing breast cancer would be to have your <a href="https://store.druglessdoctor.com/urine-iodine-loading-test-and-toxins/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">urine estrogen levels</a> checked. You want the urine estrogen 2 levels to be <strong>greater</strong> than the 16 urine estrogen. I am so excited to be able to help the patients who come to our office, create a plan of wellness by supporting their bodies into normal levels of physiology.</p>
<p dir="ltr">If you have tender breasts and a heavy menses it will not go away by having your uterus cauterized with an ablation. You MUST control the clearing of estrogen. The urine estrogen test is a simple tool to help you determine the strategy of food choices. I would avoid all non-organic animal and <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/non-dr-bob-approved/dairy/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dairy</a> products. I would also be aware of the herbicides applied to your yard, use only organic cosmetic products, and for sure, eat green foods.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Drugless Action Steps</p>
<p dir="ltr">1.  Avoid all foods with an added estrogen potential: Soy, canned and/or non-organic food.</p>
<p dir="ltr">2.  Drink water from a pure source.</p>
<p dir="ltr">3.  Eat three to five servings of <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/dr-bob-approved/greens/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">green</a> vegetables daily (Kale, Spinach, Collard Greens, etc.)</p>
<p dir="ltr">4.  Add Dr. Bob’s ABC’s to your life for optimal liver support; ½ red <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/dr-bob-approved/apples/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">apple</a>, 1/3 cup of <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/recipe/dr-bobs-baked-beets/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">beets</a> and one medium <a href="https://druglessdoctor.com/food/dr-bob-approved/carrots/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">carrot</a></p>

<p dir="ltr">If you want to lose weight, it’s pretty simple. Limit Calories! If you focus on green, non-starchy vegetables and lean protein, that will help your weight loss. You want a BMI of about 25.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>3. Can you tell us what a liver cleanse is, and why I need to do one?</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">There can be many definitions. Milk thistle is an herb that helps liver function. Minimize the toxins you put in and on your body. The safest would be Dr. Bob’s ABC’s (½ red apple, ⅓ cup of beet fiber, and one medium carrot per day).</p>
