Ask Dr. Bob May 2, 2014

These were the questions that were asked in this episode of #AskDrBob. Click the blue box to watch the video. Thank you for sending us your general health questions. We hope they make a difference in your life.

1. My question is: What type of food & beverages can I eat drink to boost blood in my body?

You want to avoid foods that have estrogen which compromise liver function. When you have high estrogen, you will have heavy menses (female), and if you’re a male, stay away from gluten.

2. Good afternoon Dr. Bob! I love seeing your videos and articles on my newsfeed. Your book “Guide to Stop ADHD in 18 Days” has changed my family’s life. But I’d like to ask you, what are your thoughts on IUDs (Mirena) and Vasectomy? Thank you!!

Taking a birth control is not a good idea, in my opinion. I have had a vasectomy and have not had any issues.

3. Hi Dr. Bob, What do you do for extremely high testosterone? The doctor suggested taking metformin?

If you are a female, you might have cysts on your ovaries (iodine). If you are a male, with low testosterone, you need chrysin or eat broccoli.

4. Roughly about how long until relief can be felt? I’ve had chronic neck pain for 10+ years. (#OptimalU pain photos)

Stop eating sugar. Pineapple, white potatoes, etc, anything which aggravates the pancreas will increase pain.

5. Do you have any information on how to reduce a nodule in the thyroid? I will read all the info you post to learn how to live without drugs.

I would have a TSH T3 T4 and a TPO, I would also get off gluten. I would also recommend iodine as well.

6. For ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s, what probiotic is best? specifically, which bacterial strain would alm and soothe inflammation and frequency of bowel urgencies.

We use POA-Phytolens, and have found that gluten, parasites, fructose (fruit sugar) can be the reasons for the issue.
