Hi Dr. Bob I have the following question: my mom is 50 years old and her period was gone for about 8 months and suddenly it came back last month. She really likes to have another baby. She currently has three: one of 12 years old one of 19 and one of 22. She is wondering now if she can get pregnant if she gets her period the coming month, and if. It is okay to get pregnant at this age. I hope to hear your opinion on this. Thank you in advance!

The best would be to make sure her liver is up to par (here) and also her thyroid is working at 100 percent.

I have a hard time finding natural cures for dizziness/vertigo-like symptoms, any suggestions?

I would stop ALL sugar. This is usually a sign of adrenal gland exhaustion. You may want to complete an Adrenal Stress Index, or Hair Analysis.

Can varicose veins be caused/exacerbated by an injury- i.e. Crushing injury in a foot?

Yes, but a congested liver is primarily the real reason with a blood back flow.

What is a ketosis diet? Do you recommend its use for weight loss?

Ketosis is when your body uses fat for fuel and occurs when you limit your carbs to 60 grams or less per day. It is actually quite a healthy option since insulin levels are lower (insulin causes inflammation).

Do you know anything about the condition called dyspraxia? What causes dyspraxia?

Definition: A a form of developmental coordination disorder (DCD) is a common disorder affecting fine and/or gross motor coordination in children and adults.  Although the exact causes of dyspraxia are unknown, it is thought to be caused by a disruption in the way messages from the brain are transmitted to the body. This affects a person’s ability to perform movements in a smooth, coordinated way.  [https://dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/about-dyspraxia/]

In our practice, we evaluate the upper neck and notice subluxated, or alignment issues. Just yesterday, we had a mom who showed a video of her four-year-old running within a few adjustments. We also incorporate a “Step Test” where our practice members stand in place and march with their eyes closed. If they move out of place and go off several feet, either straight or to the left/right, we assume there may be an upper cervical issue.

Dr. Bob, what foods do you suggest for pregnant women to ensure a healthy baby?

We would suggest an expecting mom to eat protein, fats, and calcium foods. I would avoid grains and sugar completely. Avocados, bell peppers, sesame seeds, and walnuts are good choices.

Hi Dr Bob. I am in Australia and have read one of your books and it mentioned something about avoiding orange citrus if you have asthma. Did I remember correctly and why is that as my naturopath for my daughter is not aware of it so I was hoping you could help out. Thanks.

Citrus creates an alkaline environment and asthma is aggravated by citrus.

My bartholin gland gets infected every time I have intercourse with my husband, please help.

I would suggest using a condom to see if it occurs. If yes, you may consider a product we use called AE-Mulsion and massage it onto your genital region (it is vitamin A).

No dandruff but I do have nails that peel, very brittle, help please.

Nail health is dependent on digestive health.

I saw something on the computer under your post about castor oil and adrenals. Can you please explain?

You might have noticed adrenals in the same sentence; castor oil packs help liver function.

I would love to hear why you don’t recommend other fruits.

Apples are one of the best foods to reduce oxidation and they thin the bile while helping to lower cholesterol. They also do not place a major demand on the adrenal gland.

Night time leg cramps, how to prevent?

Minerals, including Celtic Sea Salt.

Teeth grinding at night/anger.

This is often a liver issue, combined with stress and parasites.

Sharp sudden tooth pain.

More info in video.
