#OptimalU-Week 20 Recap

Hi Everyone!

I hope this finds you well. We are going to be entering our summer season next week, and if you will be traveling over the holiday weekend coming up, I hope you stay safe and make wise choices for your dietary habits. For this week, I have a few #OptimalU’s on gluten, and also a bike program that has been initiated in Northeast Ohio for school kids. Enjoy!

Day 1: Recently neighborhood schools have started the initiative to promote youth(s) riding their bikes to school, including the one in mine, which goes with today’s #OptimalU on page 301 saying: Spend time creating patterns that promote life for you and your family.

Day 2: Hi Everyone! May is Celiac Awareness Month, which goes with today’s #OptimalU on page 130: Use fresh, organic ingredients to enhance the results of your cooking efforts. Add gluten-free pasta, or try Selina Naturally & Celtic Sea Salt’s quinoa pasta (which tastes good).

Day 3: Avoid overeating inflammation-producing sugar and dairy products. (Focus on vegetables, olive oil for cooking, and brown rice syrup for baking).

Day 4,5: Off

Day 6: Chronic allergies in your daily routine? Look for gluten-free alternative grains including rice, quinoa, and even black bean pasta. And if you’re skeptical about gluten, I challenge you to try a gf diet for one month and let me know how you feel.

Day 7: Every day individuals ask me how they should begin their day, which goes with today’s #OptimalU on page 47 that says: In the morning, break the nighttime fast with hot water and lemon, followed by an apple. Thirty minutes after the digestive clearing of the fruit, enjoy protein (almonds, walnuts, and pecans).
