#AskDrBob: Fibroids, Selenium, Enemas

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including fibroids. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

May I know your thoughts on psyllium husk for detox and once a month coffee enema?

I would focus on a steady consumption of non-starchy green vegetables: raw, steamed or sauteed.

Additional Notes: We talk about this in “Dr. Bob’s Drugless Guide to Balancing Female Hormones.” It’s a little aggressive, and it’s not for those light of heart. I know that you asked about the psyllium husk. Here’s what I would suggest you do: read my “Dr. Bob’s Drugless Guide to Detoxification.” Focus on vegetables and protein. You want to be having at least two bowel movements every day. Make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. The psyllium husk could be a little aggressive. You may even consider some flaxseeds to help assimilate and help to move the colon/bowel area.

How do you feel about the selenium in this product? I use this as well, but I was curious about that aspect. Many blessings my friend.

We use selenium for a variety of body signals including those with elevated TPO, heart stress and low T3 uptake and more.

Additional Notes: We use selenium for thyroid function. We know that it helps assist in T4 to T3. We use a product called Se-Zyme from Biotics Research Corporation when somebody has an elevated TPO, which means that they could have an autoimmune problem. You can also use selenium for heart stress. It’s a trace mineral, and it’s really important to have enough trace minerals. We use a product from Biotics Research Corporation called Basic Nine. So many times people are always concerned about calcium and magnesium and potassium. Selenium is a trace mineral. Probably the most logical thing to do, is consider having a Hair Analysis done. I think of hair analysis as forensic medicine to your whole body. That was a really good question.

I’m scheduled to have surgery on the 22nd to remove fibroids from my uterus. How can I naturally get rid of them before my surgery?

I would first suggest you read the Fibroid Chapter in “Dr. Bob’s Guide to Prevent Surgery.”  It is a process and takes time and to eliminate toxins and excessive estrogen in the body which is a common cause.

Additional Notes: You are not going to get rid of them before your surgery naturally. This is an important point I want to make. It takes time. That fibroid is probably there. because your liver has been compromised. You have too much estrogen in your body. Now I’m not saying it can’t be done, but it’s going to take some time, and it’s not going to go away in a week. So that’s significant for you. I have found that increased estrogen levels, and a compromised liver, are one of the reasons people have fibroids.
