Gestational Diabetes
Hi Everyone!
These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including gestational diabetes. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!
Dr Bob good morning! I absolutely love your YouVersion lesson on “Cleanse & Purify.” Just a question as I take this journey into becoming a healthier me: is wheatgrass good for you? I’m considering having that for breakfast.
I personally do not use it, and I am of the opinion that it is best to eat food rather than using a product that has been juiced or altered, as to not affect your blood sugar.
My cholesterol is very high. I watch you on the Marilyn Hickey show and I was blessed. You mentioned three foods to eat daily. (1) half apple (2) carrots and (3) I forgot it–BEETS. What do I need to do to bring my cholesterol down? I have found if your cholesterol is impacted from food—beet fiber can lower cholesterol up to 40%

My legs have been hurting so much lately. I am 59 years old what can I do?
I have found that leg pain is often a body signal that you need minerals. We use Multi-Mins (at least one daily on an empty stomach).
Hello! I recently was diagnosed with GERD/Acid Reflux and was put on Protonix 40 MG twice a day, and I still have trouble with acid build up even though I’ve changed my diet as the doctor instructed me to do I don’t know what is triggering the symptoms. Do you have any recommendations as to what can be still triggering symptoms and is there a holistic approach to treating this ailment? Thank you.

I have a question about Gestational Diabetes. I had a fasting 3 hour glucose tolerance test done, it came back that I am Gestational Diabetes. My blood sugars usually run in normal range as I have been checking them regularly for the past 2 weeks. I do not believe that I have Gestational Diabetes, but my fasting blood sugar in the morning is anywhere from 91 to 106. This is higher than they recommend, (they want it fewer than 95). What do you suggest to help this & what do you think? Do I have Gestational Diabetes or not? I do not eat sugar! I’ve learned that from you. I have restricted my diet even more, only to include meat, vegetables, some almond milk, and heavy whipping cream as it is lower in carbohydrates, and fresh raspberries, but only about ½ cup daily.
First, I am not an expert on this issue, but your body does change with pregnancy. I know there are demands placed on various organs and tissue during this time, but I would minimize carbs and avoid fruit. Focus on foods like avocado, and not too much animal protein because that can also elevate blood sugar. Locate a chart on low or mid-glycemic foods and focus on them.
My husband lost his job of 24 years and doesn’t have insurance for his blood pressure medicine. What can he take to keep his blood pressure under control?
I would recommend magnesium and green food.
