Hi Everyone!

So Dr. Bob, are you saying to take calcium before going out in the sun so you don’t get depleted? What is the reason you get poison ivy or cold sores?

I personally would get cold sores and poison ivy when my calcium levels were low. The sunshine converts the cholesterol in your body to Vitamin D, which with Vitamin F, (omega oils for the purpose of this conversation) impacts calcium delivery to your skin. When skin is exposed to the sun and the vitamin D is increased in the body, it will pull calcium out of the tissue into the blood circulation at high levels. This in turn minimizes the tissue calcium concentration, setting up an imbalance.

When the increased calcium blood levels are mixed with the omega-3 oils, it mobilizes the calcium back into the tissues for balance once again. It takes several tablets, two to three hours before sun exposure, then more with calcium after four hours in the sun. And if you do get sunburned, taking the combination of omega-3 oils and calcium will usually relieve the red sun burn overnight. This has become a plan we use for our patients for sun safety.

What are your thoughts on IVF?

We have many ladies get pregnant by balancing body chemistry and improving the conversion of T4 to T3 without IVF.

Do the doctors have any information about DIINDOLYLMETHANE as a supplement?  A friend was asking me about it. From what I read online it doesn’t look so good. Any  comments from the Doctors?

Diindolylmethane, or DIM, is a phytochemical produced during the digestion of cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage and cauliflower. Besides eating these vegetables, you can obtain DIM through supplements—manages estrogen.

I personally eat one of the cruciferous veggies daily—steamed, raw and/or sautéed.

Hi there, Love learning from you Dr. Bob. Greetings from India. I read that beets, even with health benefits also reduce testosterone? That’s not a good thing, isn’t it as we age? What’s the best thing to do then?

I have not read that beets lower testosterone; I know stress will reduce it and so will sugar.
