Living with Multiple Sclerosis
Hi Everyone!
These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including living with multiple sclerosis. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!
Hey Dr. Bob, Can you talk about Nrf2 Detox pathway considerations? Also what to do about broken sulfur metabolism?
A major mechanism in the cellular defense against oxidative or electrophilic stress is activation of the Nrf2-antioxidant response element signaling pathway, which controls the expression of genes whose protein products are involved in the detoxification and elimination of reactive oxidants and electrophilic agents. I encourage our patients to eat sulfur-based foods for detoxification.
Any tips or tricks on living with Multiple Sclerosis? I was diagnosed two years ago. I finally got NP to up vitamin D. I am now on 15,000 iu D3. I added CBD oil. I am going to be adding omega-3 oils. Taking multivitamin, magnesium, etc. I’m in my 50’s in a nursing home. Will the omega-3’s help with calming my immune system so I can walk?
If you are living with multiple sclerosis, I may suggest a Vitamin D Test and our Omega Test and to evaluate the levels of the omega-3 and 6 oils in your body. We also suggest improving your adrenal health by reducing sugar intake.
What is safe and natural to take if you have COVID and when I am over COVID, what is good to take so I do not get it again?
We have been using Agrisept-L in our practice for years. It is a very potent bioflavonoid used by the body to manage unfriendly organisms.
I’m off dairy but seem to remember seeing that feta is OK once in a while. Do you recommend it?
Feta is typically sourced from lamb or goat’s milk. It depends on if you are sensitive to it.
My 8 yr. old daughter has had bumps on her upper arms most of her life. She’s wondering how she can get rid of them. I read once it was a sign of gluten intolerance.
I may suggest the FIT Test to see what food she may have a sensitivity to. You may also consider Blackcurrant Seed Oil, which we have seen great success with individuals who have eczema.
