#AskDrBob: Mask-ne

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including mask-ne. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Water purifier suggestions for shower, bathroom faucet for brushing teeth, kitchen faucet, refrigerator?

I use a GE reverse osmosis filter for drinking water and cooking.  I also use a shower dechlorinator which is available on our website.

Dr. Bob, I have read about skin issues using a mask. Can you elaborate on what is the best way to protect against facial irritation?

I heard a dermatologist refer to this recently as “mask-ne.” Wash your face often, and change the mask itself often. We use a product called Complete Kare Spray with success for skin-related issues. It has zinc and other ingredients promoting skin healing and preventing mask-ne.

Hello Dr. Bob! My wife is currently experiencing the following: Pain to the right upper quadrant that gets worse after eating. The pain can be a mild throbbing pain or can feel like someone punched you in the abdomen. Sometimes it can radiate up to the right side of my chest or in my upper back between the shoulder blades. She visited her doctor yesterday and was told it’s her gallbladder, but it isn’t bad enough to treat other than pain medications. He says to stay away from fatty foods and it should go away after several weeks. I’d love to hear your input and advice. Thank you in advance, Dr. Bob, for your response.

I would suggest you read the Gallbladder Chapter in my “Guide to Prevent Surgery.” Also, I have information on the liver and gallbladder in my “Drugless Guide to Detoxification.” We have had excellent results helping assist patients and clients with gallbladder distress. You may consider scheduling a personal consultation so we can better assist your wife on her journey.

Can you heal leaky gut and SIBO by eating clean or do you need to take Rifaximan?

Leaky gut can be precipitated by a variety of factors; not enough digestive enzymes, sugar, parasites.  Any processed food or chemical altering the gut flora can create SIBO. You may consider a CBC with differential or FIT Test to determine if there are any foods you may be sensitive to.
