Thinning Hair, Flax Oil & more
Hi Everyone!
These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including thinning hair. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!
I’m 61 and recently noticed my thinning hair. I used to have very thick hair and suddenly with barely noticing the hair loss. What can I do to fix this?

You said flax oil it’s one tablespoon per 100 pounds daily? What about if I have a grinder and ground flaxseeds in it and took it daily? Is it just as good? Also what brand oil do you use? How do you feel about evoo? How do you feel about the Mediterranean diet?
I would go for it (flax seeds – more info in video). Vegetables and protein is the way to go.
I recently had my vitamin D3 levels checked and it was 33. I’m a 38-year-old Caucasian female. I eat healthy, take 5000 IU of D3 and spend time outside without sunscreen. Last year my level was 39. What can I do to increase my vitamin D?.
We use Bio-D Mulsion Forte; two drops on the tongue daily. More info in video.
I see that Dr. Bob suggests the use of blackcurrant seed oil for eczema. I am wondering why not borage oil as it is said to be the richest supplemental source of GLA (17-25%) versus the 15-20% in black currant seed oil.
We have had great results with Biotics Research Blackcurrant Seed Oil.
What causes (what I call) the sweet/salty syndrome, where every time I eat something salty, I want to eat something sweet, AND, vice versa?
You are placing a demand on your pancreas and adrenal glands (More info in video).
Hi Doc. I’ve been following you since I read your bible plan on YouVersion earlier in the year. I currently have a problem I’m hoping you’d help me with: for the past two months, my period pains have been OUT OF THIS WORLD, they’re darker than usual and mostly clotted – as in HUGE clots of blood that sometimes come out like fleshy parts of my womb or something. It’s hard to explain but I’m hoping you got my point. So what could be happening to me??? I’m getting worried. Kindly help me Doc.
Besides that, I feel unusually feverish, light headed, and nauseated. And the pain in lower abdomen feels like a wound, to the extent that when I pee, I feel so much pain on my private parts. My pelvic floor is so unusually fragile, which is weird because I have a PRETTY active lifestyle. Please help me.
I would suggest you find a skilled healthcare provider in the area of female function and have a manual pelvic exam and then maybe an ultrasound.
~
