Vaping

#AskDrBob: Vaping

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including vaping. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations on effective, safe treatment of blepharitis? My husband has a bad case of it. I came home with it after the first or second follow-up appointment after cataract surgery. The eye clinic basically dumped him immediately. It took several weeks, and at least 2 other eye doctors to get it diagnosed.  None of the prescriptions for it have been very helpful.

I would suggest the FIT TEST to see what foods your husband may be sensitive to.  I know that may seem odd since it was a surgical procedure. What I have found those with weak immune systems can have more challenges if they are, for example, sensitive to eggs, or dairy.  It can be any food which will add more distress.

For several months now I’ve suffered terrible sulfur burps, mainly after eating lunch, but starts to get more severe after the evening meal. I am lactose and gluten intolerant, on medication for several health issues, one of which is a hiatal hernia. GP prescribed lansoprazole for the acid reflux, which I take first thing in morning. I was recently prescribed antibiotics for another condition and that seemed to stop the burps  but after 3-4 weeks they have returned. I wonder if instead of having too much acid, if I may have low stomach acid? I am female and over 60.

I would suggest a serum blood comprehensive panel (CONTACT).  I would look at the globulin level to assess your need for digestive enzymes.  It also can be a food combining issue.

Hi Dr. Bob. What do you advise for cataracts, and dry eyes; also maintaining eye health? Are there any good eye drops?

I would read the Cataract Chapter in “Dr. Bob’s Guide to Prevent Surgery.” Dry eyes often will respond to iodine.

What do you take and do every day for your total body health?

I do not eat sugar, no alcohol, no soda, and have minimal gluten.

I have been dealing with pain for over 30 days. It comes and goes. I also have digestive issues. Burping, gas and heartburn. I wake up feeling full of gas and nauseous. The pain has disrupted my sleep, waking several times a night. I have had a CT scan with contrast of lower abdominal and a blood panel showing all is good. I’m in desperate need of direction. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I would watch how you combine food. Example being, animal protein and starches are not a good mix.  Also, I would suggest a blood serum globulin level (CONTACT US). It should be 2.7, any number above that  would suggest a digestive aide need. You may consider a personal consultation.

I am a 61 year old female that has been having sinus issues for decades. In the past I have been on antibiotics for several months at a time with very little relief. When the seasons changed is when it starts with drainage, coughing or spitting up a greenish yellowish mucus.  Also, I live in the south and every spring/summer there is the pollen and once I go outside, etc. the headaches, pressure, drainage, and coughing starts. I am in the process of eliminating wheat, sugar, peanut butter, and dairy.

I have noticed seasonal change allergies usually suggest an iodine need.  Also, the foods you suggested you were stopping would be a good start.

Any advice on balancing candida? Naturally, and smoothly as possible? No fruit, or sugar and avoid bread.

We use a citric seed extract product called Agrisept-L with success.  And we have used a product called Caprin.

Diabetes 2 – what can I do to reverse it? There are a lot of variables with diabetes.

I would suggest losing weight to start. We use a product called GlucoBalance with success. We have a protocol based on the individual findings for the patient. It all depends on; liver, colon, nutrient need, level of obesity and other details.

What do you think about hair dye?

I know that dye’s have been around a long time; I would suggest one that is not harsh or damages the hair.

Is vaping really that bad, Dr. Bob?

I would say yes. Vaping does not promote health and besides a lung issue, the tool itself if not cleaned, can lead to potential bacteria, virus and other microbiologic challenges.

What about raw honey?

Any sweetener will place a demand on the pancreas and liver resulting in inflammation. Patients in our office who eat sweets or sweeteners always have the most pain.

What kind of oils helps MS?

We have found the omega-3 oils are commonly deficient in patients with MS.
