Whey
Hi Everyone!
These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including if we recommend whey. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!
What do you suggest for bursitis? One of my friends has it in both shoulders and my significant other has it in his hip. The doctors are suggesting Cortisone shots but I’m very cautious about supporting this.
Bursitis is common when there is an alkaline state in the body. I encourage our patients to avoid citrus (no oranges or grapefruit). We use a product called Bio-CMP.
I have just watched your video from this time last year regarding peptides. Really like the way you broke it down. I’m looking to speak to someone that can clear things up for me regarding them as I am looking at taking them.
Thank you for the question; not exactly sure what your question is? We look at serum globulin to determine if someone is digesting optimally. You may consider an Opti-Chem Profile.
I recently started using one teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt in my drinking water, spread over the course of the day. I also use Himalayan salt for cooking. The last several days my tongue feels burnt, but I do not recall burning it with hot liquid. Am I getting too much salt?
I would suggest you may want to back off the amount and see if the body signals go away – yes it is possible. We normally suggest one-fourth of a teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt.
I have been exploring protein shakes and have come across one that really made me pause and wonder. In regard to the shake containing dairy, this was the response:
“The dairy used doesn’t have lactose and casein which causes bloating. I like using whey because it has branched-chain amino acids. The body breaks it down quickly, which makes it more easily digestible. This creamy, high-quality whey protein shake has only 3 grams of fat.”
My question for the week is: do you recommend the avoidance of whey? Butter?
We do not promote whey, but I do use organic salted butter.
What is the best tip you can give from your Mental Health book?
I would suggest having your omega oils tested to evaluate your DHA, which is the oil used for your brain.
