Are Your Adrenal Glands Exhausted?
One critical nervous system in the body I would like to discuss is the autonomic nervous system (AMS). The AMS has two segments; one that speeds the body up called the sympathetic and the other that slows the body down, called the parasympathetic system. Guess what? You can assess them indirectly by testing the quality of your hair.
The Hair Analysis results concerning your sodium and potassium levels are a direct reflection of adrenal function. Your adrenal glands are located on top of your kidneys. They are sensitive and control many bodily functions. When your adrenal glands are exhausted, they are not able to correctly send the messages to your pupils for them to constrict when exposed to the sun.
Who would ever think that the nervous system has anything to do with how your eyes respond to light?
Your nervous system controls pupil size. If you have large pupils, it’s likely your sodium and potassium levels are low. Over time, I have discovered adrenal exhaustion is one of the findings in patients with high aluminum commonly seen in Alzheimer’s/Dementia. Do you see the puzzle forming?
A mineralocorticoid is a steroid that controls the absorption of minerals. When the adrenal glands are not 100%, which is very common today, all of these occurring reactions are sub par. You will feel tired, exhausted, lethargic, emotionally challenged with fibromyalgia, and even sexual dysfunction. Make sure that your adrenals are correctly functioning!
