Dehydration

#AskDrBob: Dehydration

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including what I eat for breakfast, and dehydration. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present it in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

I found out about you through the docu-series, and me and my husband loved how you explain in a simple way the liver parts and his importance in our body function.

I’m currently nursing my 2-month-old daughter and my 2 1/2 year old boy. Also, when I was 4 months pregnant I found out I had a gallstone and liver enlarged (16 not much, but to me it is because I want a normal size liver). Based on the info you shared in your interview, I will add the ABC’s to my diet and definitely take care of my gallbladder. Now, what supplements can I take to support my liver while breastfeeding? Let me know.

I would focus on food until you are done nursing, then contact me so we can check your basic physiology and go from there with a protocol. (More info in video)

I’m 82 and have severe dehydration – on Hydralyte every day.  If I drink water, electrolytes are lost. Can you help me, please?

For dehydration, I would need to know more about you, so I may suggest scheduling a personal consultation. (Contact us – link above, for Hydrate II)

Please give me some guidance on how to stop/ heal vaginal dryness and thrush. I am in my late 50s and menopausal.

You have a yeast issue and I would need to know more a bit more about you so I would suggest scheduling a personal consultation (link below).

I am a 52 yo male and ever increasingly, I hear clicking noises coming from my spine and neck when I move, stand up, get out of bed, roll over in bed etc. Also happens with other joints i.e. jaw, shoulders, feet etc. There is no pain however this never used to happen. I would like to stop this getting worse and turn it around. Can you shed some light on what’s going on and how to address it?

First I would see a skilled chiropractor and second I would stop all dairy. Dairy can create cracking noises. It would be interesting to complete a Mineral Tissue Hair Analysis to evaluate your mineral levels.

You often mention the ABC protocol for liver health, with the addition of R, Radishes.  I assume the ½ red apple should be raw, the 1/3 cup of beets should be cooked – but what about the carrot and radish? I enjoy cooked radishes, but raw ones give me a little heartburn….any suggestions?

I eat the carrot and radish raw. If radishes give you heartburn you more than likely have some liver-gallbladder distress and may want to read, Dr. Bob’s Drugless Guide to Detoxification.

What are the best foods to keep the liver healthy?

Half of a red apple daily, one-third cup of organic beets/fiber (not the juice), one medium carrot and one radish.

Why only half an apple a day?

Because a whole apple has 22 grams of carbohydrates.

What do you eat for breakfast?

Hard boiled egg, cut up vegetables, nuts, half an apple, almond butter and coconut oil on a quinoa square.
