#AskDrBob: Dermatographia, Foods for Heart, Body Aches

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including what to do for dermatographia. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present them in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Good evening, Dr. Bob. Can you suggest foods that will make your heart function better and food that will reduce cholesterol? I am 47 years old. I run a busy schedule and I often don’t get enough sleep.

The best food for heart function from my observation would include those in the green vegetable family. These vegetables provide magnesium important for heart function. I would also include beets which can lower your cholesterol. Drink water to improve your red blood cells working together and avoid sugar.

What can you do for dry, itchy skin in the winter as well as dermatographia?

Winter weather conditions can dehydrate the body. I would suggest making sure you drink enough water. Dermatographia is a body signal your adrenal glands are in a state of fatigue. Learn more about ADB5 Plus and A.H.F.

Is folic acid the same as folate?

Folate is the generic name for a type of B vitamin. It’s found naturally in foods as folate. Folic acid is the manmade version sold as supplements and added to fortified foods.

How can I stop having pain in my body? I ache most of the time.

I discuss this in “Dr. Bob’s Trans Fat Survival Guide” that pain can increase when you do not have the right cofactors or ingredients to create a pain relieving prostaglandin.
