Saturated Fat

I saw you on the Fatty Liver Docuseries. I was diagnosed with mild NAFLD this week. Can I still use essential oils topically, or is this now a no-no?

Interesting question: years ago I had a young model apply a “baby oil” on her skin. I noticed with nutritional microscopy, globules of fat floating in her blood. Whatever is applied to one’s skin is absorbed. I would suggest reading; “Dr. Bob’s Drugless Guide to Detoxification.” You may glean information on how to clear up your liver.

Hi, Dr. Bob, serious question at the end. I am allergic to oral herbs. I get rashes on my tongue and my lips swell until they peel. Is it safe to apply it up the bum?

It sounds to me you are having a reaction to the possible “filler” and or the emulsion the herbs titrated in.

Dr. Bob, I believe you told me to cut out sugar to lower my triglycerides. I’ve been doing pretty good but I have a question. What about saturated fat? My doctor told me to keep it to 10% or lower on things I eat; he never did mention sugar and everything I have read it does says to lower triglycerides cut back on sugar. So do I do both, or just sugar? Thank you for your help! 

Great question: from my experience people tend to eat a lot more sugar than they do red meat and other saturated fat sources. With that being said, the most scientific way to determine how your fat levels are impacting you would be with the Omega Test. I have noticed more inflammation from consuming omega-6 oils common in snack food vs. the traditional thinking pattern of red meat, cheese and eggs.

How does vitamin D help the body?

Vitamin D promotes the absorption of calcium from the intestine to the blood. Vitamin F (omega-3 oils) transport the calcium to the tissues. Calcium literally glues the cells together so viruses and unfriendly organisms cannot penetrate the body.
