Bladder Infection

#AskDrBob: Receding Gums, Multiple Sclerosis, Bladder Infection

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including what to do for a bladder infection. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present them in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Conventional dentists say receding gums are a normal and unavoidable part of aging. That is why older people are called ‘long in the tooth’.

This is what I have noticed: receding gums are a body signal of calcium metabolism issues.  I look at the calcium-phosphorus ratio, it should be ten-parts calcium and four-parts phosphorus. I go into great detail in the Cataracts Chapter in “Dr. Bob’s Guide to Prevent Surgery.”

I am experiencing symptoms 15 years after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I admit being a 15-year-old kid at that time aided in my disbelief and blatant disregard of the diagnosis and most importantly the need to change how I lived. I have since made an alkaline vegan diet switch in the past 2 years but I am finding that has limited my intake to nearly nothing. Genetically, I’m a physically small woman and crave the possibility of a 10-20lb weight gain but I stand in failing hope and faith of healing and weight gain. Do you have any suggestions?

I have noticed those with MS tend to have a Vitamin D deficiency, an imbalance of omega-3 oils, gluten sensitivity, and possible parasites. We can complete a test to include Vitamin D and the Omega levels.  We use saliva testing to evaluate gluten sensitivities.

How can I prevent a chronic bladder infection?

For a bladder infection, I would suggest drinking more water to start and then reduce gluten. You may consider applying clear liquid iodine to the lower abdomen.  We also suggest a product called Agrisept-L, which is a citrus seed extract – I have been using 10 drops a day since 1996. Finally, if these suggestions do not make  a difference, you may consider a food sensitivity test (FIT) to determine what food you may have a sensitivity to which can create a bladder issue. Finally, you may have parasites.
