Summer Picnics

#AskDrBob: Vitamin D, Summer Picnics, Tender Breasts

Hi Everyone!

These were the questions asked in this episode of #AskDrBob, including ideas for summer picnics. If you have any general health questions, please email us, askdrbob@druglessdoctor.com, and we will present them in an upcoming episode. Thank you!

Dr. Bob, how important is Vitamin D? And what does it do?

Vitamin D is essential because it helps the body get calcium from the intestine. Vitamin D, from my experience, is low in individuals who may have chronic lung and immune challenges. We can test for Vitamin D in a blood serum test.  I take two drops of Bio-D Mulsion Forte on my tongue everyday, which is equivalent to 5K International units.

What do you suggest food-wise for summer picnics?

For summer picnics, I personally always focus on green foods, and hummus is another good option.  If you are a meat eater, I would suggest organic chicken, which is easier to digest than red meat.  I also use rice pasta instead of wheat for any pasta-salad related dish.

How can I stop my breasts from being tender?

I have learned over time estrogen dominance is one of the main reasons women tend to have tender breasts. We focus on improving liver function.  The liver needs a variety of co-factors including B vitamins to process estrogen.
